Bosch update July 2025: Are you ready for more power?

From July 2025, you can increase the torque of the Gen 5 Bosch motors (BDU38) to up to 100 Nm using the Flow app. Your advantage: noticeably more thrust and up to 400% motor support. You can use the eBike Flow app to customise the riding modes and adapt the performance precisely to your riding style.

The new Bosch Performance Line CX motor offers everything you need for your e-mountain bike experience: power, handling and quiet operation. With up to 100 Nm of torque, it provides powerful support on steep climbs and challenging trails. Thanks to improved sensor technology, the motor responds even faster to your pedalling and ensures a dynamic, natural riding experience. Weighing just 2.8 kg, the motor noticeably improves the handling of your e-bike, which really pays off on long tours and technical sections. It also runs more quietly, making for a more pleasant riding experience. Features such as Extended Boost and the revised push assist give you maximum control off-road. With these new features, the Bosch Performance Line CX motor takes your e-mountain bike experience to a whole new level.

An impressive Alpha Platinum aluminium frame makes the Rail+ 8 Gen 5 both light and robust. The Bosch Performance CX motor delivers 250 W of power and 85 Nm of torque, while the integrated RIB 2.0 battery with 800 Wh capacity ensures long-lasting rides. The RockShox ZEB Select fork and Super Deluxe Select+ RT shock, both with 160 mm travel, offer excellent suspension and control on any terrain. The Shimano XT/SLX 12-speed drivetrain guarantees precise gear changes, and the hydraulic 4-piston disc brakes from SRAM deliver reliable braking power to keep you safe even in demanding situations.
