The Rail e-fully series stands for power, endurance and comfort in the Trek program: Bosch Performance CX motor, 625-Wh battery and ample suspension travel. With 160 millimeters of travel at the fork and 150 millimeters at the rear, the new Rail 9.5 Gen 2 falls into the touring enduro class. Strong on any terrain, both uphill and downhill. In typical Trek fashion, the Rail stands out from the mainstream with some clever special features: for example, the rear bearing point of the rear triangle sits in the center of the wheel axle rather than in front, as is usually the case. This trick ensures superior stiffness at the start. Furthermore, the lateral access to the battery compartment on the down tube is unusual and above all practical. Rarely before has a battery been easier to remove in daily use. A few words about the riding characteristics of the Rail 9.5: Thanks to the powerful motor support, you can enjoy the performance of the sip-friendly chassis without regret. The extra reserves pay off especially in downhill. The chassis always works inconspicuously and balanced. Even rather boring gravel roads the rail conjures a dose of flow on the surface. And the 29-inch wheels are beyond reproach in terms of rolling comfort anyway.

Trek OCLV Frame - The Benchmark in Carbon

The frame is made from OCLV carbon, which has been tried and tested for years. And even though this version of the Rail 9.5 Gen 2 is the most affordable e-carbon full suspension bike in the Trek lineup, you still get the same exclusive frame quality as the top models. The US manufacturer draws on over 25 years of experience in building carbon frames. In the OCLV process, the mats are laid on top of each other in a sophisticated system and compacted with the optimal fiber-to-resin ratio. This prevents structure-weakening voids from forming in the material. About the Bosch Performance CX motor perfectly integrated into the frame does not need to lose many words. In conjunction with the enduring 625 battery, the ensemble delivers power without end. The Bosch Purion display comes along minimalist, but offers all the necessary features for the control of the drive. The Rail 9.5 Gen 2 is equipped with indestructible Shimano Deore gears and easy-to-maintain Shimano disc brakes. Sure, you can always upgrade later, but is usually not necessary. Also solid and proven are the numerous in-house Bontrager parts such as wheels or cockpit. And thanks to the standard telescopic seatpost you can immediately plunge into trail fun.
