Trek says the Rail is built for the rough stuff. The chassis is prepared for any terrain with 160 millimetres of travel at the fork and 150 millimetres at the rear. But once you've chased this E-Enduro over your home trails, you'll realise: The Rail is certainly beefy and powerful - its powerful Bosch Performance CX drive alone makes sure of that - but it is also sensitive and agile when it comes to handling. Just the way you set it up. For example, you can change the steering angle by 0.5 degrees using the Mino Link, a rotating mini eccentric on the rear rocker. This influences the handling either in the direction of manoeuvrability or smoothness. Or you can connect the Smart System of the drive to your smartphone via Bluetooth and tune the motor to your preferences with the help of the eBike Flow app.

Do you love long day tours? Then go for it! The Rail 9.7 Gen 4 is equipped with Bosch's largest InTube battery: 750 watt hours of capacity are even enough for the stages of an Alpine crossing. A practical feature is that the battery can be easily removed from the side. Furthermore, the Rail 9.7 comes with high-quality Shimano XT gears and maintenance-friendly Deore 4-piston disc brakes. The numerous in-house Bontrager parts such as wheels and cockpit are also solid and proven. And thanks to the standard telescopic seatpost, you can jump straight into trail fun.

Trek OCLV frame - The carbon benchmark

The OCLV carbon developed by Trek has been a household name in the scene for years. There are different series for the bike classes, from mountain bike to road bike. The Rail 9.7 uses OCLV Mountain Carbon, which was specially developed for tough off-road use. The US manufacturer draws on over 25 years of experience in the construction of carbon frames. In the OCLV process, the mats are laid on top of each other in a sophisticated system and compacted with the optimal fibre-resin ratio. This prevents structurally weak cavities from forming in the material. In typical Trek fashion, the frame stands out from the mainstream with other clever details: for example, the rear bearing point of the rear triangle is not located in front of the wheel axle as usual, but in the centre. This trick ensures outstanding stiffness when pedalling.
