The first thing that catches the eye about Trek's Madone range is its exceptional aerodynamics. But the US manufacturer has not only optimised the frame in numerous tests in the wind tunnel, but has also consistently integrated the components into the aero concept: seatpost, handlebar/stem unit, wheels - everything on the Madone blends into a harmonious whole. The measurements prove that the developers have done everything right: Especially at higher speeds, thanks to the aerodynamics, you save quite a few watts of pedalling power, which you can put to good use on the next mountain. The H1.5 geometry was developed in cooperation with the pro riders of the Trek-Segafredo team. It automatically puts you in a sporty and streamlined position on the Madone. A look at the details reveals further innovations such as the IsoSpeed system developed by Trek, which dampens vibrations and lets you sit in the saddle for longer without tiring. Or the Bontrager stem, on which you can elegantly mount accessories such as computers or lights with the help of the Blendr system.

The Madone SR 6 comes with the brand new Shimano 105 Di2 shift and brake group, which brings electronic shifting to an affordable level. In typical Shimano fashion, the 105 Di2 delivers performance on a par with the top groupsets. You can't change gears more precisely and quickly. Other carbon parts from the house brand Bontrager make the setup perfect, especially the Aeolus Elite 50 carbon wheelset with a high rim profile.

OCLV Carbon - Treks sets the standard in frame construction

OCLV Carbon, developed by Trek, has been a household name on the scene for years. There are different series for the bike classes, from mountain bike to road bike. The Madone SL 6 uses 500 Series OCLV, still very light, but somewhat less complex to manufacture. Apart from the aerodynamic design of the frame, it is the IsoSpeed system that makes it so unique. A vibration-damping element at the saddle dome, where the top tube, seat tube and seat stays meet. Thanks to IsoSpeed, the Madone rolls comfortably on all road surfaces. This is because especially the fine but permanent bumps have an effect on the body and tire the rider. The Madone not only makes you faster, but also guarantees maximum riding pleasure on bumpy side roads.
