The 2023 Fuel EXe 9.5 belongs to a new generation of e-mountain bikes. A generation that redefines the relationship between rider and drivetrain. A generation that brings back a more natural riding experience. Because the drive system is not about maximum power at any price. It's about well-dosed power that's available when you really need it. The result is a lightweight e-fully that can be ridden and handled without the drive on many sections of the trail. In the uphill, however, it offers just the right amount of gentle support. The philosophy behind it: Less system weight also means less energy demand. In addition to the lightweight carbon frame, the heart of the Fuel EXe is the compact TQ HPR 50 motor, which is powered by an equally compact 360 watt-hour battery. With this ensemble, sporty riders can easily get by on normal day trips. Those who need more endurance can put the optionally available range extender battery (160 Wh) in the bottle cage and get around 40 percent more range. The range of use: The chassis offers 150 millimeters of travel at the fork and 140 millimeters at the rear. Thus, it feels comfortable in any terrain, from all-mountain to trail riding.
The frame is made of Trek OCLV carbon, which has been tried and tested for years, and has been completely redesigned for the TQ motor. Responsible for the shape of the drive weighing only 1800 grams is a circular pin-ring gear that rotates around the drive shaft. Installed in the frame, the TQ motor therefore merely looks like an oversized bottom bracket. The slim battery is hidden just as inconspicuously in the down tube. The minimalism also continues in the operation: On the handlebars sits only the remote control on the handle. The display is well protected and integrated in the front part of the top tube. There you have the most important riding data directly in view, for example, riding mode, range, speed and battery charge level. With the help of Bluetooth, the smartphone can be paired with the drive and take over further functions and tuning options. In the version 9.5, the Trek Fuel EXe is equipped with RockShox suspension elements and the indestructible Shimano Deore 1 x 12 shifting. Hydraulic Tektro 4-piston disc brakes provide decent braking power. In addition, numerous in-house Bontrager parts such as Tubeless-Ready wheels and grippy team tires.
We offer the TQ Range Extender in our range to match the Trek Fuel EXe battery with lower power and range. This 160 Wh additional battery extends the range of the Trek Fuel EXe by up to 44%.
The bottle cage included with the Trek Fuel EXe, together with the TQ components such as the strap and the Cable V01, allows you to mount the TQ Range Extender V01 160Wh.
