The Aim SLX FE's mudguards, lighting system, Semi-Integrated Carrier 2.1 and kickstand give you all the tools you need to make light work of the daily commute or a trip across town. Add the 100mm Suntour suspension fork, wide and grippy 2.25in tyres and powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and it's just as adept on a forest or mountain trail at the weekend. And, with Shimano's legendary, wide-ranging 1x12 gears with an XT derailleur, it'll help you make light work of any route – whether trail or tarmac.

You'll notice that the Aim's High Performance Aluminium frame features almost organic lines, carefully crafted tube profiles and joints that are so smooth, one tube practically flows into the next. None of that is an accident – we believe a frame that functions brilliantly should also have an elegant form. To that end, we routed cables internally – including provision for a dropper seatpost. Mounting points include compatibility with our Semi-Integrated Carrier 2.1 and a flat mount kickstand, while a tapered head tube ensures confidence-inspiring handling and the replaceable gear hanger means it's easy to get up and running again in the event of a knock to the derailleur.
