If you compare a modern race bike like the current SuperSix EVO Carbon with a steel racer from the eighties or even older, then a lot has already changed tremendously. Or rather, it has evolved. Nevertheless, Cannondale has remembered the concept of the SuperSix, which characteristics have always made a thoroughbred road bike - and transferred these into the modern era. Remained is definitely the classic-clean design and a maximum low weight. However, the SuperSix EVO is more comfortable, more versatile and above all: faster! Thanks to the tube cross-sections optimized in the wind tunnel, the rider benefits from up to 21 percent lower drag compared to the previous model. Of course, the full aero potential only unfolds at speeds above 40 km/h. But even at normal touring speeds, the new model is still a real winner. But even at normal touring speeds, this relief is already noticeable. On long rides or even marathons, however, comfort plays a major role. Because who feels physically comfortable, can sit longer in the saddle. Here Cannondale makes use of the self-damping of carbon on the one hand. And on the other hand, one relies today again on the damping effect of wider tires. Up to 30 millimeters of passage offer rear triangle and fork at the SuperSix EVO.
Since the founding of the American manufacturer are racing genes in the development of Cannondale frames. The international successes in gravel bike, road bike or mountain bike competitions speak for themselves. So you can rely on the highest material quality. Thanks to the BallisTec carbon construction, the frame is the lightest Cannondale has ever built in the road bike sector. In the 105 version, the SuperSix EVO comes with the indestructible Shimano 105 component group. 2 x 11 gears and a smooth performance make it the carefree group number one in the program of the market leader. The low-maintenance hydraulic disc brakes also contribute to this. Other components such as handlebars, stem and seatpost Cannondale has been developing for years in its own laboratories. Not to forget: The first owner of a SuperSix EVO has a lifetime frame warranty after registration with Cannondale.
