The Rallon really gets down to business. Orbea's Enduro model line focuses on speed, downhill performance and gulping ability. That doesn't mean you're locked into these areas of use with the Rallon, for better or worse. But they are just his preferences. Actually logical with a chassis with 170 millimeters of travel in front and 160 at the rear. On the other hand, however, the Rallon has a broadband drive with 1 x 12 gears. And thanks to the carbon frame, its weight is low enough to cut a fine figure even on climbs. And the ease with which the Rallon can be directed around fast corners, you will also appreciate on the trail. Just as with jumps and casual tricks in the bike park. Geometry, pivot points and kinematics have been optimized in close collaboration with the Orbea Race Team. The Rallon can be ridden completely with 29-inch as well as with mixed wheelset (29-inch front wheel/27.5-inch rear wheel). In the chassis Orbea makes no compromises and equips all Rallon models with the incomparably strong Fox 38 Float Performance suspension fork. In the M20, a Fox Float X Performance damper is at its side on the rear triangle. Furthermore, important in an enduro - and therefore naturally included from the factory: a telescopic seatpost, a chain guide and such coherent details as a chainstay protector.
All models in the Rallon series come with the OMR carbon frame, which stands for Orbea Monocoque Race. The main feature of the frame is its asymmetrical design. Between the top tube and seat tube runs parallel to the damper a lateral support strut to dissipate the forces when the rear suspension compresses. Underneath this clever design, there is space for a water bottle. The linkage of the shock plays a decisive role: The main joint was deliberately placed in front of the seat tube to allow the insertion of an extra-long telescopic seat post. At the rear joints, eccentrics can be used to change the lever position so that the rear triangle harmonizes with either a 29-inch or 27.5-inch wheel.
Founded as early as 1840, at that time still as a weapons forge, Orbea has been one of the most important traditional manufacturers of bicycles in Spain since the 1930s. Based in the bike-crazy Basque country, the company's philosophy has always been to be close to the sport. Fans know the legendary atmosphere on the roads when the Tour de France makes a detour to the Spanish Pyrenees. Numerous professional teams in MTB and road cycling rely on the quality of the bikes from the Basque Country.
