Orbea Orca M20i Team - The upper class with Shimano Ultegra Di2 and carbon wheels

The Orbea Orca is and remains one of the lightest production road bikes on the market. And that applies across the entire model range, from entry-level to high-end. Always in relation to the price class, of course. Every part of the Orca is well thought out and sensibly trimmed for lightweight construction. Starting with the centrepiece, the frame, through to the carbon seatpost, which comes as standard even on the entry-level model. You will learn to appreciate the advantage of a lightweight road bike with every pedal stroke. Apart from its excellent climbing characteristics, the Orca responds to the slightest increase in speed thanks to its agility. And it's simply fun to feel how this machine converts every pedal stroke into propulsion. But for all its ambitions to create a genuine racer, Orbea has not forgotten about comfort: The rear triangle and fork allow tyres up to 32 millimetres wide to be fitted. That's what we call a good all-rounder!

In the M20i Team version, the Orca leaves nothing to be desired. Shimano connoisseurs know: The Ultegra Di2 component group is only a breath away from the top class. It may be a few grams heavier than the Dura Ace - in terms of performance, you won't feel any difference with your eyes closed. Thanks to wireless technology in the shifting system and brake lines routed completely inside the frame, nothing disturbs the elegant silhouette. The hydraulic disc brakes, which you can rely on in any situation, also come from the outstanding Ultegra groupset. And because every gram counts on the mountain, Orbea has given the M20i Team an ultra-light carbon wheelset, a carbon handlebar/stem combination and a carbon seatpost.

Decades of experience in carbon frame construction

The Spanish manufacturer Orbea is one of the most renowned names in carbon processing today. The frames are constantly tested and further developed in the company's own laboratories. For example, the overlapping of the carbon mats has been minimised in a new process. This not only saves material, but also automatically makes the frame even lighter. Depending on the course of the load, the so-called lay-ups are specifically increased or reduced so that the frame is stiff where it is needed when riding. Orbea frames are characterised by smooth tube transitions and elegant simplicity. Thanks to Orbea's ICR Plus system, all cables run completely internally from the stem onwards. This emphasises the clean design of the fast road racers from the Basque Country.
