KTM Macina Gran 710 ABS - Safely through the city thanks to Bosch ABS brake assistant

It has long been clear that the bicycle is the most sensible vehicle in the city. The e-bike has given this development an immense boost in recent years - and will continue to do so. For example, with an e-bike like the Macina Gran. KTM has designed the Macina Gran series for maximum suitability for everyday use. A robust aluminium frame, equipped with all the attachments to defy wind, weather and darkness. Powered by the Performance CX motor, the most powerful unit from Bosch, and a powerful 750-Wh battery. As well as selected components to make the ride as comfortable as possible: Suspension fork at the front and a suspension seatpost, wheels with wide tyres and, last but not least, a multi-adjustable stem that allows for every conceivable riding position.

The Macina Gran 710 comes with high-quality Shimano Deore XT 11-speed gears. Another highlight of the equipment is the unique Bosch ABS system. A sensor on the suspension fork monitors the speed of the front wheel. If a blockage is imminent, the electronics regulate the brake pressure and ensure that the bike remains steerable and stable even on loose ground. The ABS system is matched to the Magura CT disc brakes, which are also developed in Germany. At the front, a Suntour Mobie 34 Air suspension fork ensures comfortable ground contact. Another special feature is the PTTL system (Power Tube Top Loader) developed by KTM. Unlike many other e-bikes, the Bosch InTube battery can be removed from the top. This makes it extremely convenient to use in everyday life.

All drive components and the ABS system are part of the Bosch smart system. Support is provided by the famously powerful Bosch Performance CX Gen4 motor with 85 Nm of torque. The drive is controlled by the new LED remote thumb switch in combination with a Kiox 300 Smart colour display. This means you always have the status of all functions in view, from the support level to the remaining range of the battery. The outstanding feature of the smart system, however, is a Bluetooth connection with your smartphone. With the help of the eBike Flow app, you can adjust the drive to your wishes and use many other functions: Individual dosage of motor power for each support mode, theft protection, navigation and automatic firmware updates. This way, you can keep your e-bike up to date at the touch of a button.
