KTM Macina Gran 820 – Robust e-bike for city and country

For many years, the name KTM has been synonymous with high quality in bicycle manufacturing, in all categories from sports to everyday use. With each generation, the engineers bring the technology of the bikes up to the latest standards. This is evident at first glance when looking at KTM bikes. The latest example: in the Macina e-bikes, the new Bosch Performance CX motor with 100 Nm torque now provides powerful assistance. This also applies to the Macina Gran series, which was designed for maximum everyday usability. The basis is a robust aluminium frame, equipped with all the accessories needed to brave wind, weather and darkness. In addition, selected components make the ride as comfortable as possible: a suspension fork at the front and wheels with wide tyres. Almost a trademark of KTM's everyday and trekking bikes is the multi-adjustable stem, which allows for every conceivable seating position.

The Macina Gran 820 comes with fat Schwalbe tyres, which ensure a comfortable ride. In combination with the Suntour suspension fork, the bike also rolls smoothly over gravel and forest paths. The other features also add to the fun: Shimano Cues 10-speed gears and, above all, Tektro disc brakes with 180 mm discs on the front wheel. This means that even steeper descents are no problem. Another special feature is the PTTL (Power Tube Top Loader) system developed by KTM. Unlike many other e-bikes, the Bosch InTube battery can be removed from the top. This makes everyday handling extremely convenient. Of course, the Macina Gran comes ex-factory with high-quality road equipment, consisting of mudguards, lights, a side stand and a luggage rack that can really take a beating.

Bosch Performance CX – Bosch's best motor now even more powerful

All drive components are part of Bosch's smart system and are interconnected. In 2025, Bosch introduced the 5th generation of the Performance CX motor. The most important innovation: the manufacturer's flagship now delivers up to 750 watts with a maximum torque of 100 Nm. The extra thrust is noticeable on steep climbs. Good to know: the power can be individually adjusted via the Flow app. So if you don't need that much power, you can reduce the assistance. For example, to the previous standard of 85 Nm. This saves energy. In general, however, the battery has been adapted to the higher power consumption and now has a capacity of 800 watt hours. The drive's command centre is a clear Bosch Intuvia display. This gives you an overview of all functions at all times, from riding mode to battery status. A Bluetooth connection to the eBike Flow app on your smartphone opens up further possibilities, including the latest firmware updates. This ensures that your drive is always up to date.
