KTM Macina Aera 771 LFC - The city and touring off-roader with a new frame concept

The Macina Aera series, newly launched in 2021, replaced the Scout series at the Austrian premium manufacturer KTM. With the Macina Aera 771 LFC, the concept of combining the comfort of a city and touring bike with the features of a mountain bike has now been developed even further. The result is the brand new Power Tube Sport frame (PTS), in which the chainstays run above the motor and the chain to the rear wheel. The design provides extra stiffness while still guaranteeing the uphill and downhill comfort of a true low-rider. Another advantage is that the motor is positioned on edge in the frame, which allows the battery to be placed slightly lower in the down tube. Both measures result in a particularly low center of gravity, which gives the Macina Aera 771 LFC very stable riding characteristics. Ideal conditions for excursions into light terrain and tours with luggage. The abbreviation LFC stands for the equipment with high-quality Light Fender Carrier mudguards, luggage rack, lighting and side stand. Thanks to the rolling comfort of 2.25-inch wide tires, as well as a FOX 34 Float AWL air suspension fork, you're guaranteed not to get bumped on gravel and forest trails. In typical KTM fashion, the Macina Aera 771 LFC is equipped with high-quality, high-performance components: First and foremost is an extra-strong brake system from specialist Shimano, with 4-piston calipers and 1.8 millimeter thick discs. This creates confidence on descents, even with a high luggage load.

The power of the Bosch Performance CX motor

Introduced in 2020, the 4th generation Bosch Performance CX motor remains the benchmark in e-bike drive technology in 2022. New in 2022 is the Tour+ mode, which gives you even more range thanks to progressive support. This can also be retrofitted via an update. Hardly any other motor intervenes so harmoniously and powerfully in the drive. An effortlessly readable Bosch Kiox 300 display provides you with all important information during the ride, for example, about the selected support level and the remaining range. Bosch has also come up with something special here. The Kiox 300 display is freely configurable via the Bosch Flow app (available from fall 2021) and software updates can now be carried out conveniently from home. Control of the support levels is now also possible for Kiox riders. The PowerTube battery is elegantly hidden in the down tube and brings you with increased 750 watt-hour capacity even to distant destinations.
