KTM Macina Aera 271 LFC - The city and touring off-roader with a new frame concept

The newly launched Macina Aera series replaces the Scout series at Austrian premium manufacturer KTM. With the Macina Aera 271 LFC, the concept of combining the comfort of a city and touring bike with the features of a mountain bike has been further developed. The result is the brand new Power Tube Sport frame (PTS), in which the chain stays run above the engine and the chain to the rear wheel. The construction provides extra stiffness and yet guarantees the ascent and descent comfort of a real deep climber. A further advantage is that the motor stands upright in the frame, allowing the battery to be placed a little lower in the down tube. Both measures result in a particularly low centre of gravity, which gives the Macina Aera 271 LFC very stable handling characteristics. Ideal conditions for trips into light terrain and tours with luggage. The abbreviation LFC stands for the equipment with high-quality Light Fender Carrier mudguards, luggage carrier, lighting and side stand.

The power of the Bosch Performance CX motor

The 4th generation Bosch Performance CX motor, introduced last year, will again set the standard for e-bike drive technology in 2021. Hardly any other motor intervenes so harmoniously and powerfully in the drive. An effortlessly readable Bosch Intuvia display ensures that you are always in full control while riding. The PowerTube, elegantly concealed in the down tube, always gets you to your destination with a full 625 watt hour capacity. Thanks to the rolling comfort of 2.25 inch wide tyres and a Suntour XCR 34 air suspension fork, you are guaranteed not to be shaken on gravel and forest tracks. Typically KTM, the Macina Aera 271 LFC is equipped with high-quality, high-performance components: First and foremost is an extra strong brake system from the specialist Tektro, with 4-piston callipers and 2.3 millimetre thick discs. This creates confidence on descents, even with a high luggage load.
