In the Supersix EVO series, the US manufacturer Cannondale focuses on the best possible aerodynamics in conjunction with good all-round properties. To realize this combination, Cannondale has played out all its know-how in the new development of the SuperSix EVO. Because to build flat tube profiles, which are also light, is a real challenge. Measurements in wind tunnels have long proven that good aerodynamics bring many time credits. On a flat course, however, weight plays a subordinate role. The SuperSix EVO, on the other hand, is not only fast on the flat, but as an all-rounder it can also keep up with the best on the mountain.
The main frame weighs just 770 grams at size 56 centimeters! A real declaration of war. According to the test results, the SuperSix EVO comes close to a flawless time trial machine in terms of efficiency. And the faster you go, the more you benefit from the aero advantage. At the same time, Cannondale has also placed great emphasis on ride comfort. Because if you feel physically comfortable, you can sit longer in the saddle. Here Cannondale makes use of the self-damping of carbon. On the other hand, the frame can absorb vibrations thanks to the low-set rear triangle, so that they do not arrive in full intensity at the driver or the driver.
In the EVO 3 equipment variant, the SuperSix makes a real technical and visual impact. In addition to the extremely lightweight EVO frameset, the new Shimano 105 Di2 group is the highlight par excellence. It is yes the usual tactics of the component market leader to launch revolutionary technology first in the top groups, and the features then one or two seasons later to transfer to the cheaper groups. In the case of the 105, the wait was definitely worth it! Because test reports certify the 105 Di2 an outstanding switching performance. The 105 group also includes the hydraulic disc brakes, whose function also leaves nothing to be desired. Thanks to the 160 mm rotors on the front and rear wheel you need not worry about a lack of braking power. The alpine passes can come! Not to forget: The first owner of a SuperSix EVO has a lifetime frame warranty after registration with Cannondale.
