Cannondale SuperSix EVO 1 - Re-treaded: The 4th generation of the aero all-rounder
In the Supersix EVO series, the US manufacturer Cannondale focuses on the best possible aerodynamics in conjunction with good all-round properties. To realize this combination, Cannondale has played out its entire know-how in the new development of the SuperSix EVO. Because to build flat tube profiles, which are also light, is a real challenge. Measurements in wind tunnels have long proven that good aerodynamics bring many time credits. On a flat course, however, weight plays a subordinate role. The SuperSix EVO, on the other hand, is not only fast on the flat, but as an all-rounder it can also keep up with the best on the mountain.
Carbon frame, carbon parts plus wireless Sram Force AXS gears
In the EVO 1 trim level, the SuperSix comes with the excellent Force AXS wireless shifting group from US component manufacturer Sram. The switching commands are transmitted via buttons on the brake levers by radio to the rear derailleur and front derailleur. Faster and more precise a circuit has never worked. The hydraulic disc brakes also come from the top-of-the-range Sram AXS group. The brake lines run from the levers completely inside the handlebars, stem and frame, so that neither cables nor trains disturb the elegant design of the frame. Another highlight are the lightweight HolowGram wheels with Aero Carbon rims, complemented by other carbon parts such as handlebars and seatpost. Not to be forgotten: The first owner of a SuperSix EVO has a lifetime frame warranty after registration with Cannondale.
