The X-Caliber series is one step above the Marlin series in the Trek lineup and has been consistently developed for many years. Looking for a dynamic trail hardtail at true race level? The X-Caliber will fulfill your wishes. Its sporty geometry with long reach and short chainstays ensures agile handling and superior climbing ability. Thanks to the broadly supported Boost 141 hubs, the stiff rear triangle converts your starts explosively into propulsion. This is just as much fun in the race as during training or on the moody after-work round with friends. As the top model of the series, the X-Caliber 9 comes with high-quality RockShox Recon Gold suspension fork and the incomparably precise XT shifting from the market leader Shimano. The Bontrager wheelset is of course Tubeless-Ready, so prepared for the use of a tubeless system. Other Pro features from the factory: Rollfreudige Maxxis Ardent Race tires and a TranzX telescopic seatpost with internal cable routing.
The US forge Trek is one of the pioneers in the processing of aluminum frames since the eighties. You can therefore rely on a huge know-how. The Caliber X uses the higher quality Alpha Gold aluminum compared to the Marlin series. Meticulously processed and lightweight. In addition, there are coherent details such as internally routed cables and a tapered head tube. Practical: Those who also want to use their mountain bike in everyday life will find mounting points on the Caliber frame for accessories such as mudguards and racks. In this context, the Blendr stem system developed by Trek is also a powerful argument. With the help of various bases and adapters, lights, computers and other accessories can be easily attached to the cockpit. Clever: To ensure that all riders enjoy the optimum seating position and geometry, Trek matches the wheel diameter to the frame size. That's why XS and S frames come with 27.5-inch wheels and the higher models (M to XL) with 29-inch.
