Trek Slash 9 GX AXS T-Type Gen 6 - Uncompromising Enduro Fully

Are you looking for a bike for rough terrain? A fully that goes through thick and thin with you? For which no trail is too rough and no descent too steep? Congratulations, you've found it. But the best thing about the Trek Slash is that it's not only a force to be reckoned with downhill, but that you can also pedal uphill with it. Sure, the Slash is not a light cross-country bike. Nevertheless, it is damn versatile for an enduro bike with 170 millimetre suspension. And that's thanks to the special rear suspension system, called the Hight Pivot System. This means that the rear triangle has an extremely high main pivot, which makes it incredibly supple and sensitive. The problem: If the chain were to run backwards normally, i.e. below the chainstay, the suspension would compress with every pedal stroke. Cue pedal kickback. The solution: The chain runs over a guide sprocket that sits above the chainring, approximately at the level of the link. This trick neutralises the pull of the chain and allows the rear triangle to work normally.

The Slash 9 GX AXS T-Type Gen 6 leaves nothing to be desired in terms of equipment. Starting with the suspension elements, which come from the forge of the suspension experts at RockShox. Right through to the ultra-modern Sram GX Eagle AXS drivetrain components. The rear derailleur works with wireless technology and shifts the 12 gears more precisely than ever, even under the most adverse conditions. In addition, the rear derailleur is attached to the rear triangle using T-Type technology (= Transmission) - making it virtually indestructible. On the descent, you can fully rely on the performance of the Sram Code Bronze disc brakes. As usual with Trek, the equipment is completed with in-house Bontrager parts. This also includes the wheels. Typical for a current enduro bike, a mixed-wheel wheelset is fitted ex works, i.e. with a 27.5-inch rear wheel for top traction and a 29-inch front wheel for easy rolling over obstacles. If desired, the Slash can also be ridden with 29-inch wheels. Of course, a telescopic seat post is also on board ex works.

Trek - High-quality frame construction with a long tradition

The US manufacturer Trek has been one of the pioneers in the processing of aluminium frames since the 1980s. So you can rely on a huge amount of expertise. And it goes without saying that the frames have been continuously developed over the generations. High-quality Alpha Platinum aluminium is used in the current Slash series. First-class workmanship and lightweight. There are also harmonious details such as down tube and chainstay protectors and internally routed cables. The geometry of the frame and the progression of the shock can be customised to personal preferences using the Trek Mino-Link on the rocker link. The Slash is simply the next step in enduro evolution.
