The frame offers numerous mounting options for bikepacking accessories such as frame bags, water bottles and mudguards. If you mainly ride off-road, you can fit tyres up to 45 millimetres wide. This corresponds to 2.1 inch tyres, which is almost comparable to a cross-country mountain bike. Another clever feature is the Blendr system developed by Trek, which allows you to attach lights, bike computers, smartphones and other accessories to the cockpit in no time at all.

The Checkpoint ALR 5 AXS goes one step further in terms of performance and comfort. The electric Sram Apex 1 x 12 drivetrain makes your gravel tours even more enjoyable. Even on rough terrain, you can rely on precise and quickly engaging gears. Thanks to the combination of 40 teeth on the chainring and a maximum of 44 teeth on the cassette, the result is a powerful mountain gear ratio. The second highlight: a telescopic seat post provides more control on downhill sections and uneven terrain. The Bontrager parts from Trek's own development department have also been tried and tested for years. These include the cockpit, saddle and the high-quality tubeless-ready wheels.

Trek - frame construction at the highest level

The US manufacturer Trek was one of the first manufacturers in the world to use aluminium in frame construction back in the 1980s. A huge amount of expertise that continues to refine Trek frames to this day. The Checkpoint ALR 5 AXS uses 300 Series Alpha aluminium, from which special tube profiles are created using the so-called hydroforming process. This shape ensures an optimum ratio between stiffness and weight. There are also details such as internally routed cables and a rigid quick-release system for the wheels. Aluminium is still the most reliable and robust material in frame construction today. Trek combines the aluminium frame with a lightweight carbon fork. Thanks to its molecular properties, the carbon fibre material effectively dampens vibrations. A new, progressive geometry guarantees safe and stable handling on unpaved roads.
