The frame of the Vector is so versatile that it is a perfect basis for various Orbea models. The idea of the Spanish manufacturer is a so-called commuter bike, i.e. a fast bike for city traffic. Not for big purchases, but a speedster for commuters or bicycle couriers, for example. In a way, it's a slimmed-down, lightweight bike that nevertheless has everything you need for road traffic: Lights, luggage rack and mudguards.
The "drop" version - drop refers to the racing handlebars - is equipped with gravel wheels and corresponding tyres. Thanks to the 40 millimetre wide Schwalbe G-One tyres, the Vector also feels comfortable on gravel paths. This makes the Drop probably the most versatile Vector variant in the Orbea range. In no time at all, panniers can be clicked onto the rear rack and off you go on a weekend tour. You can even use the Drop LTD for road training in spring and autumn. Because it can only laugh about wet roads.
The high-quality Orbea Urban Speed frame is made of lightweight aluminium 6000. Polished welds and internally routed cables are a typical Orbea quality feature. The straight carbon fork fits seamlessly into the classic, clean design. The rear triangle and fork can accommodate tyres up to 40 mm wide. The Vector Drop comes with the indestructible Shimano Tiagra groupset, consisting of 2 x 10 gears and the well-known low-maintenance Tiagra disc brakes. Handlebars and stem come from Orbea's own OC component forge. Exemplary carefree equipment, with which long-lasting riding fun is in the foreground.
Founded as early as 1840, when it was still a weapons forge, Orbea has been one of the most important traditional bicycle manufacturers in Spain since the 1930s. Based in the bike-crazy Basque country, the company's philosophy has always been to be close to the sport. Fans know the legendary atmosphere on the roads when the Tour de France makes a detour into the Spanish Pyrenees. Numerous professional teams in MTB and road cycling trust in the quality of bikes from the Basque Country.
