Is this really an e-bike? That's what you'll involuntarily ask yourself when you see the sporty, slim Urrun for the first time. Because with the Urrun hardtail series Orbea follows the same basic idea as with the Rise Fully: less weight, less E, more bike! This corresponds to the desire of many sporty, ambitious e-bikers who want to enjoy a natural, playful riding experience again. Nevertheless, you can tickle more range out of the drive than out of e-bikes with significantly larger batteries. How is that possible? The lighter an e-bike is, the smaller the proportion of energy that the drive system requires simply to accelerate the bike's own weight. The second effect is that the rider can use his power more efficiently on a light bike.

The heart of the Urrun is a lightweight hydroformed aluminium frame with a classic race look. Polished welds breathe exclusivity into it. Fine touch: Orbea gives a lifetime warranty on the frame. In version 30, the Urrun comes with Shimano Deore 10-speed gears and high-quality Magura disc brakes. Comfort is provided by a Marzocchi Bomber Z2 suspension fork with 120 millimetres of travel.

With the EP series, Shimano has brought one of the best e-bike motors to the market. Thanks to the Orbea RS firmware, the unit can manage the energy even better. The software limits the maximum torque to 60 Nm. Sporty e-bikers don't need more! The compact motor weighs just three kilos. The battery has a capacity of 540 watt-hours and, thanks to its extremely slim design, could be integrated almost invisibly into the down tube. If necessary, the reserves can be increased by another 250 watt hours with an optional extender battery. Another upgrade is the display: the compact Shimano EN600-L is Bluetooth-compatible and can be connected to the Shimano E-Tube app. This gives you access to functions like motor fine-tuning.
