Orbea Rise M-Team - The team version of the Rise with fine carbon upgrades

The Orbea Rise series is the forerunner of a new Fully generation, which does not rely on ever larger batteries. Rather, it's about being economical with energy and using power more efficiently. In addition, the strategy opens up an opportunity to build lighter e-bikes, which in turn bring back a sportier riding style and a more natural riding feel. Because that's what many e-bikers want. And the Rise meets precisely these criteria. Thanks to consistent lightweight construction, a Rise weighs around 20 kilos depending on the type, and the models with carbon frames even less. This makes it almost as agile and playful as a bike without electric drive. Ideal conditions for the intended range of use between all-mountain, enduro and trail bike. There are two series of the Rise: The H models with aluminum frame and the M models with carbon frame. Chassis: Depending on the model, a 140- or 150-mm suspension fork works at the front, in this case a 150er Fox 36 Float Factory. It gives the Rise extra reserves for blocked trails. A Fox Float X Factory damper completes the chassis. In terms of equipment, the team version meets the highest standards with noble lightweight upgrades. The highlight is a carbon wheelset, which noticeably saves further weight. But parts like the carbon handlebars also contribute to the concept. Gearshift and brakes come from the impeccable Shimano XT group. And the Kashima-coated Fox Factory telescopic seatpost is also of the finest.

With the EP series, Shimano has brought one of the best e-bike motors on the market. With the help of the Orbea RS firmware, the unit can manage the energy even better. The software limits the maximum torque to 60 Nm. Sporty e-bikers don't need more! The compact motor weighs just three kilos. The battery has an output of 360 watt hours and, thanks to its extremely slim design, could be integrated almost invisibly in the down tube. If necessary, the reserves can be increased by another 250 watt hours with an optional extender battery. In keeping with the lightweight concept, the drive is only controlled via a rocker switch near the brake lever. For more extensive control options, the system can be connected to a smartphone or watch via Bluetooth.
