With the EP series, Shimano has brought one of the best e-bike motors on the market. With the help of the Orbea RS firmware, the unit can manage the energy even better. The software limits the maximum torque to 60 Nm. Sporty e-bikers don't need more! The compact motor weighs just three kilos. The battery has an output of 540 watt hours and, thanks to its extremely slim design, could be integrated almost invisibly in the down tube. If necessary, the reserves can be increased by another 250 watt hours with an optional extender battery. In keeping with the lightweight concept, the drive is only controlled via a rocker switch near the brake lever.
