Orbea Occam SL M30 - The carbon frame makes the Occam even more agile

Your search for a fully that can do everything has come to an end! Because the Occam model range will put a big grin on your face on any terrain, from trail to tour. You can choose between two versions: The adventurous Occam LT with 160/150 mm suspension and the sportier Occam SL with 140 mm suspension. With its harmoniously balanced chassis, the Occam SL is the perfect symbiosis of trail bike and all-rounder. In many details you can tell that Orbea comes from the world of racing. Take the Remote LockOut, for example. With the help of the Squidlock lever, the entire suspension can be tightened or even locked in two stages from the handlebars. The lever for adjusting the dropper post is located directly above it. This gives you full control over your ride with your left thumb and allows you to prepare the Occam SL for climbs and descents in a matter of seconds.

In the SL M30 version, the Occam comes with mid-range Shimano components that are easy on the budget but deliver full performance: The Shimano Deore 1 x 12 gears and Shimano Deore disc brakes work flawlessly and are also in the "worry-free" category. And what more could a mountain biker want than reliable function? The suspension combines a Fox Float Performance suspension fork with a Fox Float Performance shock. Another Orbea trademark are the OC Parts developed in the company's own laboratories: handlebars, stem and the telescopic seatpost that can be remotely controlled from the handlebars.

Orbea OMR carbon frame with innovative details

As usual with Orbea, the Orbea Occam models are also divided into two series: The H models with aluminium frames and the M models with carbon frames. The abbreviation OMR stands for Orbea Monocoque Race and once again emphasises the claim of this machine. In addition to the use of high-strength carbon fibres, the main feature of the frame is its asymmetrical design. A single lateral support strut runs parallel to the shock between the top tube and seat tube in order to dissipate the forces when the rear suspension compresses. There is space for a water bottle underneath this clever design. The linkage of the shock plays a decisive role: the main pivot was deliberately placed in front of the seat tube to allow the insertion of an extra-long telescopic seat post.
