Orbea Denna H40

Denna is the name of Orbea's new gravel bike series with e-assistance. The Spanish manufacturer already has an e-racer in its range, the Gain model, which can theoretically be equipped with 35 mm tyres for light terrain. The Denna now offers tyre clearance of up to 50 millimetres, which provides significantly more comfort on gravel. And there is another difference: while the Gain is powered by a compact Mahle rear wheel motor, the Denna relies on powerful MTB technology: its Shimano EP6 mid-drive motor provides up to 85 Nm of torque and also ensures perfect weight distribution during your off-road adventures. Longer bikepacking tours are of course possible, but the mounting points for permanently installed accessories are limited to the main frame triangle: two bottle holders and a frame bag are possible. However, no luggage rack and no lowrider bags on the fork.

The H40 version of the Denna is equipped with Shimano components. The gears and brakes are from the Shimano CUES U6000 group. The market leader's hydraulic disc brakes have always been among the best in terms of performance and ease of maintenance.

Shimano EP6 motor

With the EP series, Shimano has launched one of the best e-bike motors on the market. The EP6 comes with a torque of up to 85 Nm, which can be finely customised via the Shimano eTube app. The battery has a capacity of 420 watt hours and, thanks to its extremely slim design, can be integrated almost invisibly into the down tube. If necessary, the reserves can be increased by a further 210 watt hours with an optional extender battery. The extender is simply inserted into the bottle holder on the seat tube.
