The Orbea Alma series with carbon frame can be recognized by the M in the model name, followed by a number: The higher this number is, the more affordable the equipment of the bike within the series. Connoisseurs unmask the carbon models but already at the look at the frame - and may click their tongues appreciatively! Because here shows impressively the high manufacturing standard of the Spanish manufacturer. The organic shapes and flowing transitions are a feast for the eyes. Actually, too bad to flay such a noble hardtail over a Cross Country race course. But for sporty mountain biking, the Alma was built, after all! In addition, such a light and lively bike will animate you all by itself to accelerate.
With the code number M10, the Alma is at the top of the Orbea hierarchy. At its heart is the OMX carbon frame, which is another 200 grams lighter than its brother OMR. Incredible 830 grams brings the OMX frame on the scale. In the production in monocoque construction, the bladder molding process is used. It ensures that no wrinkles and irregularities occur in the carbon mats and thus as little raw material as possible is consumed. Clever details: the developers have made sure that the frame offers sufficient tire clearance. So you're not limited to narrow Cross Country tires. A universal UDH derailleur hanger is also used, which can be easily procured in the event of a defect. And the Orbea ICR system keeps the cables running smoothly and free of rattles inside the frame.
The Alma M10 comes with a high-quality Fox 34 Float SC suspension fork, popular for its extensive yet straightforward adjustment options. The 1 x 12 circuit comes from the Shimano XT group, because no wishes remain open. Further weight save handlebar and seatpost, both made of carbon. A highlight are the new OQUO Mountain Performance wheels. They have asymmetrical rims for a more uniform spoke tension and are generally characterized by excellent workmanship. Of course, also suitable for tubeless systems! Maxxis Recon Race tires provide with 2.35 inch width for a noticeable comfort bonus.
