From the first glance at the sleek and sophisticated silhouette of the Orbea Alma series, it's clear that these hardtails want to be ridden sportily. But don't worry, you don't have to be constantly chasing seconds to have fun with an Alma. Because as soon as you turn onto the first flow trail, you will accelerate all by yourself. Because such a zippy bike simply animates the rider to want to feel the acceleration. Orbea has managed with all his experience from racing, the Alma this driving experience literally inoculate. And this across all price classes! So you get even with the inexpensive aluminum models a hardtail with real pro features: High-quality processed frame, modern geometry and reliable components.
As usual with Orbea, the Alma is also available in two series: The M models with carbon frame and the cheaper H models with aluminum frame. Where cheap does not mean cheap at all! On the contrary. You get a frame made of hydroformed aluminum, with elaborately manufactured tubes whose wall thicknesses have been fluidly adapted to the relevant load zones. This not only looks elegant, but is stable and lightweight. Thus, the frame in size M weighs just 1650 grams. The developers have made sure that the frame offers sufficient tire clearance. So you can also put on wider tires than the 2.20-inchers supplied as standard if you wish. Other clever details: a universal UDH derailleur hanger is used, which can be easily procured in the event of a defect. The ICR system ensures that the cables run low-friction and free of rattling noises inside the frame.
In the H30 version, the Alma comes with SR Suntour Raidon 32 suspension fork. Its CrossCountry-standard 100 millimeters of suspension travel can be fine-tuned to all body weights via an air chamber. The drive offers a wide range from sport to tour with a reliable Shimano Deore 1 x 12 shifting. On the tires from the specialist Maxxis swear even professionals. And the Mach1 Klixx 29-inch wheelset is prepared for the use of a tubeless system. Ready to race!
