KTM Macina Sport SX Prime - The top model from the Macina Sport SX series

With the introduction of the 2024 model range, the Austrian premium manufacturer is underpinning its claim to always be at the cutting edge of technology. All e-bike series have been redesigned or at least significantly revised. KTM now generally relies on the new Performance SX motor from Bosch. All in all, the e-bikes have become lighter, are easier to handle and appear much more agile when riding. However, the core competence of the Macina Sport remains unchanged: a versatile companion that masters all types of riding, from city to touring. There are three different frame shapes for all types of riders: 1. the classic Diamant frame, popular with men but also increasingly popular with women. 2. the sporty, comfortable trapezoid frame, in which the top tube drops sharply towards the rear and starts at about half the height of the seat tube. 3. the step-through frame (US) with a completely open step-through for maximum comfort.

The Macina Sport SX Prime lives up to its name. Its premium components will make every connoisseur's mouth water. There has never been such a light carbon frame in this class before. Thanks to the golden Kashima coating on the stanchions, the Fox Factory suspension fork is incredibly sensitive. The Sram X0 Eagle drivetrain with wireless technology is the ultimate when it comes to precise gear changes. The drivetrain also works with the new T-Type technology (transmission), in which the rear derailleur sits directly on the rear triangle or on the thru-axle of the rear wheel. Defects such as a bent derailleur hanger are therefore a thing of the past. And the Magura disc brakes meet the highest Made-in-Germany quality standards.

Bosch Performance SX - The new, sporty generation of motors

Less is more! The compact Bosch Performance SX brings back the sporty, light riding experience. With a torque of 55 Nm, the motor has a more moderate power on the data sheet than a Performance CX, for example. In practice, however, this fact is compensated for by the lightweight construction concept. After all, less energy is required to accelerate a lightweight e-bike. To match this, Bosch has developed the CompactTube battery with a capacity of 400 watt hours. The ensemble offers smooth, almost silent assistance. A Range Extender battery with a further 250 Wh is optionally available for long tours, which is simply inserted into the bottle cage. The Performance SX drive is of course part of the smart system and can be connected to the eBike Flow app via Bluetooth. This opens up a wide range of tuning options and makes firmware updates child's play.
