The introduction of the Bosch SX drive unit marks the next milestone in the long history of the Mini Me children's e-bike. When developing the new frame concept, the focus was on low weight and playful handling. Thanks to child-friendly geometry and customised components, nothing stands in the way of a family outing.

Due to the low body weight of children, the weight of the bike plays a much greater role than with bikes for adults. The new, lightweight Bosch Performance SX motor therefore offers the best prerequisites for building more child-friendly e-bikes than was previously possible. The Austrian manufacturer KTM, a leader in the development of children's and youth bikes for years, has realised this opportunity in an exemplary manner with the Mini Me SX models. With 24-inch wheels and a frame height of around 35 centimetres, the SX 24 is suitable for children from around nine years of age. The top tube slopes low towards the rear to ensure maximum freedom of movement. This is because when the child slides forwards from the saddle into a standing position, they must be able to stand freely over the bike at all times.
Robust and child-friendly - that's how you could summarise the features of the Mini ME SX 24 in two words. In detail, this means that the Suntour XCR 34 Air suspension fork can be easily adjusted to the low body weight of children using air pressure. The short stem and narrow handlebars put the child in an upright and safe riding position. And components such as the reliable Shimano Acera 8-speed gears and hydraulic Shimano disc brakes can also be found on e-bikes for adults.
With a torque of 55 Nm, the Bosch Performance SX motor is predestined for small and light e-bikes such as the Mini Me models. In the interests of safety for children, the motor's assistance is cut off at 20 km/h instead of the usual 25 km/h. With less volume and weight, the 400 Wh CompactTube battery in the down tube also fits in perfectly. Together with the Intuvia 100 display, the ensemble is part of the Bosch Smart System and is therefore state of the art. The drive can be connected to the eBike Flow app via Bluetooth. This opens up a wide range of tuning options and makes firmware updates easier than ever.
