Kona Dew Plus - The forefather of the commuter bike

The Canadian manufacturer Kona has a rich history. Because Kona bikes have been rolling over roads and trails since the early nineties. The Dew is one of the absolute classic models. It was developed even then as the ultimate bike for the city, called "Commuterbike", which means nothing other than commuter bike. The Dew models are not only for commuters a good choice, but for all bikers who like to speed through the city or want to beat the traffic jam a bargain. Admittedly, the Dew has undergone a few metamorphoses to date, but the most important trademarks have remained over all the years: 1. the Dew is lightweight, so you get as little sweat on the ride to the office. 2. the Dew is in the basic version a reliable bike without any frills. Even a suspension fork is deliberately and consistently omitted. Thanks to appropriate threaded eyelets on the frame, however, mudguards and luggage racks can be easily retrofitted. In principle, of course, a suspension fork - but then the classic touch would be gone.

Top processed aluminum frame and minimalist equipment

In the Plus version, the Dew comes with an indestructible Shimano Deore 1 x 10 gears. The cassette offers a wide range of gear ratios, usable from flatlands to moderate climbs. The hydraulic Clarks M2 disc brakes are equipped with lightweight 160 mm discs. For optimum comfort on asphalt provide 650b wheels (27.5 inches), equipped with voluminous 47 millimeter wide tires. Their bright sidewalls support the great vintage look of this classic.
