Kids aren't daft, and there comes a time when they'll want a bike as good as mum and dad's. With the Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie SL, now they can. It features the same Bosch drive unit and battery as many of the adult hybrids, so your young rider has the power boost they need to ride further, faster and longer - good news for family outings. The Suntour air fork is easily adjustable to suit smaller, lighter riders - CUBE even used a thinner handlebar and grips for better comfort and control with small hands. Shimano's 10-speed gears are super reliable and offer a great range, and powerful hydraulic disc brakes safely rein in any excess enthusiasm. It's good to go.

Frame

It's fair to say that Bosch didn't have perfectly proportioned kids' bikes in mind when they designed their world-beating drive systems, but that hasn't prevented CUBE from neatly integrating it into the Acid 240 Hybrid Rookie's frame. Using the same design and construction techniques as theadult hybrid mtbs, CUBE have built a junior hybrid that's both fun to ride and safe as well. Internal cable routing significantly reduces maintenance, and CUBE even included mounts for a CUBE kickstand.
