Trail fans were thrilled when Cannondale launched the E version of the Habit last year. The Bosch drive with the sporty Performance CX engine and a long-lasting 625-watt-hour battery now makes even the most remote trails accessible. And thanks to sophisticated Cannondale technology, the Habit Neo 2 is just as agile as the original Neo, which is a trail machine in the best sense of the word. But from our own experience we know that the Habit Neo is also a great all-rounder, because the mountains are not only made up of trails. Topic tours: The frame even leaves room for a drinking bottle. For 2021 the Neo has been reworked in some details. For example, the weight distribution is even better adapted to the area of use. Optically, the Habit Neo also plays in the upper league. The exceptionally well manufactured frame has its own character. The smoothly integrated motor interface is protected from stone chipping from below with a solid aluminum plate. Equipment upgrades: The Habit Neo 2 now comes with Shimano SLX gears and Magura MT Trail brakes. The division with 4 pistons at the front (220 disc) and 2 pistons at the rear (203 disc) is sensible and saves weight.
The US manufacturer Cannondale is one of the pioneers in the mountain bike scene with its own technologies. Currently, BallisTec Carbon, which originates from the military sector, is causing a sensation. The frames made from it are characterised by durability and resistance. After all, an E-MTB frame not only has to bear the additional weight of the motor and battery, but also has to be able to withstand particularly high driving forces from the motor. The Cannondale Habit Neo 2 has the kinematics specified for each frame size to ensure that every rider gets the best possible ride. The RockShox chassis combines 140 millimetres of suspension travel at the fork with a 130 mm rear triangle. Ideal for a wide range of applications. Another Cannondale development is the Asymmetric Integration System (Ai): The rear triangle is offset by 6 millimeters towards the drive side. This provides more tire clearance, better climbing ability and a more stable rear wheel.
