NEO Motion Plates

These easy-to-mount motion plates provide multidirectional mobility to the NEO, NEO 2 or NEO 2T smart trainers, making touring feel more realistic than ever before. The multidirectional mobility simulates the feel of touring outdoors. The Motion Plates install easily, quickly and without tools. With the Motion Plates you adopt a more natural riding position and train even more efficiently. The firm stance is not affected. Ride safely with Motion Plates. • Garmin has set a new standard with its indoor cycling subsidiary Tacx. The NEO 2T smart trainer is the result of years of experience in developing home trainers and cycling accessories. What started in a small bike store in the Netherlands has now become one of the
• biggest success stories in the cycling industry.

The NEO 2T Smart has become much quieter, more robust and more durable thanks to a redesigned motor and redesigned magnets. As a result, the NEO 2T can now deliver up to 2200 watts and brake at 260N. Due to the redesign, inclines of up to 25% can now be simulated. The trainer can be set up without calibration and still reliably conveys measured values - such as power, speed and cadence - with a deviation of less than 1%.

Furthermore, the NEO 2T Smart uses a dynamic inertia simulation. This controls inertia (up to 125kg or 275.6 lbs) and compensates for weight, speed and lean angle, creating a realistic riding experience. In addition, the Road Feel system can simulate different surfaces such as gravel, cobblestones and more. In order for the NEO 2T to also realistically simulate a downhill run, it requires an external power source of 110 to 240 volts. The power plug for this is included in the scope of delivery.

Compatibility and autonomy

Nowadays, smart trainers are almost obliged to be as compatible as possible. The NEO 2T Smart is not only compatible with training apps such as TrainerRoad and Zwift via Bluetooth and ANT+, it also offers you the possibility of combining with several devices at the same time. The advantage of Tacx trainers here is the connection with Garmin, because if you have a Garmin bike computer, you can also save your ride data there. You can also use more than 100 high-quality videos in the Tacx training app to have even more riding fun. If you don't want to use these features, just use the autonomy mode. When the NEO 2T is not connected, it simulates rides on flat roads while the resistance increases due to a higher riding speed.

The NEO 2T Smart is compatible with all common gear systems (Campagnolo, Shimano, Sram). Basically, up to 3 chainrings with 22 to 53 teeth can be driven in front. On the supplied freewheel body fit 8-11 compartment cassettes from Shimano and Sram. The home trainer is therefore not compatible with a Shimano or Sram 12-speed cassette in its standard delivery. For a Sram 12-speed cassette, a Shimano 12-speed cassette and a Campagnolo drivetrain, a Tacx freewheel body must also be purchased. The size of the cassette may be between 10 and 40 teeth.

The NEO 2T designed for all common axle systems. The adapter kit leaves both the possibility to use the home trainer with a 5mm quick release, as well as with 12mm thru axles with up to max. 148mm width. Not suitable is the NEO 2T for the Specialized SCS system.
