Santa Cruz is perhaps one of the last cult forges in the mountain bike cosmos. But one thing is for sure: Santa Cruz bikes have rightly earned cult status! Born in the mountains of California, the brand stands like no other for high-quality products, developed by bikers for bikers. And not least for the casual American spirit, the original idea of mountain biking. The Heckler SL comes very close to the idea of an e-bike that rides as easily as a normal mountain bike. The way there: Consistent weight saving wherever possible. The basis for this is the drive unit, consisting of the incredibly compact Fazua motor and a lightweight 430-Wh battery. A total weight of less than 20 kilos makes the Heckler SL a whirlwind among e-fullies. Predestined for trails, tours and tricks.

Equipped with electric shifting, the Heckler SL C GX AXS is technically state-of-the-art. With the Sram GX Eagle AXS, the shifting impulses are transmitted wirelessly from the cockpit to the rear derailleur. From now on, you benefit from ultra-fast and always 100% precise gear changes under all conditions. In addition, the drivetrain works with the new T-Type technology (transmission), in which the rear derailleur sits directly on the rear triangle or on the thru axle of the rear wheel. This means that defects such as a bent or even torn derailleur hanger are a thing of the past. The other components also guarantee unprecedented off-road performance: comfortable RockShox suspension, stable Sram Code Bronze Stealth 4-piston disc brakes and a mixed wheelset with outstanding traction.

Fazua Ride 60 motor - invisible power source

The Fazua motor is set to revolutionise the world of e-bikes. The power unit is so compact that it is not noticeable. The quiet and almost frictionless Ride 60 sits in the tube in front of the bottom bracket, in direct contact with the battery in the down tube. With the data of 60 Nm torque and 430 watt hours, the concept is designed so that the rider can apply more pedalling power than with normal drives with usually 85 Nm. This accommodates a sporty riding style. The drive can be extensively customised via the Fazua app.

Santa Cruz Carbon Frame - The Crown of Carbon Processing

Santa Cruz manufactures carbon frames in two quality levels, referred to as C and CC Carbon. However, there is no question of "better" or "worse" here. The bottom line is that the C carbon used on the Heckler is slightly heavier than the exclusive CC version. What makes the Santa Cruz Fully frames so special is the special lower-link kinematics. This is a double joint that allows the swingarm to rotate around a virtual pivot point. Hence the name VPP (Virtual Pivot Point).
