Santa Cruz is perhaps one of the last cult forges in the mountain bike cosmos. But one thing is certain: Santa Cruz bikes have rightly earned cult status! Born in the mountains of California, the brand stands like no other for high-quality products, developed by bikers for bikers. And not least for the casual American spirit, the original idea of mountain biking. The Bronson was developed for bikers who don't care about categories. For bikers who are looking for a fully for really all areas of use. Okay, except maybe for Cross Country races. But apart from that, this sporty enduro masters all disciplines in the mountains: fast trail rides, tricky descents or a ride over the jumpline in the bike park. At the same time, its climbing abilities are more than acceptable thanks to the well-balanced 160 mm suspension.
The heart of the Bronson 4.1 CC MX X0 AXS RSV is the outstandingly processed carbon frame. The CC stands for the highest quality level at Santa Cruz, which is primarily noticeable in the further reduced weight. Selected suspension elements from RockShox and Fox are used on the chassis. The electric Sram X0 Eagle AXS drivetrain takes shifting performance to a whole new level thanks to wireless transmission. In addition, the drivetrain works with the new T-Type technology (transmission), in which the rear derailleur sits directly on the rear triangle or the thru axle of the rear wheel. This means that defects such as a bent or even torn derailleur hanger are a thing of the past. The MX in the model designation stands for Mixed Wheelset: at the front, a 29-inch wheel ensures the best ability to roll over obstacles, while at the rear a 27.5-inch wheel claws energetically into the ground. Of course, the standard equipment also includes a telescopic seat post.
Santa Cruz manufactures carbon frames in two quality levels, designated C and CC Carbon. But there is no question of "better" or "worse" here. With the CC frames, the engineers have used selected raw materials and a lot of manual work to optimise the weight to the extreme. What also makes the Santa Cruz Fully frames special is the special lower link kinematics. This is a double joint that allows the swingarm to rotate around a virtual pivot point. Hence the name VPP (Virtual Pivot Point). A highly efficient technology that almost completely eliminates annoying bobbing when riding uphill.
