This Robert Axle 12 mm thru axle has been specially developed for bikes with 12x142 mm or 12x148 mm (Boost) installation widths and enables the safe and easy installation of trailers of various brands such as Burley, Thule, Croozer or Carry Freedom.

The robust, black anodised aluminium axle is precisely manufactured and offers an adjustable length of 162 mm, 167 mm or 172 mm thanks to the included spacers - suitable for numerous frames.

The M10 x 1 thread on the non-drive side allows you to securely mount internally threaded couplings or adapters for 9 mm quick releases. Ideal for everyday use, touring or family outings - this thru axle ensures a reliable connection between bike and trailer.

Bicycle compatibility

This thru axle fits bikes with 12 mm thru axles and an installation width of 142 mm (standard) or 148 mm (Boost). The included spacers allow flexible adjustment of the axle length.

  • 142 mm standard
  • 148 mm Boost
• Axle length: 172 mm, adjustable to 167 mm or 162 mm (spacers included)
• Thru axle diameter: 12 mm
• Thread pitch on the frame: 1.0 mm

Trailer compatibility

The axle has an M10x1 thread on the non-drive side - suitable for trailer couplings with an internal thread or quick-release adapter. It is suitable for many common trailer systems.

Important notes on compatibility and assembly

• The actual axle length (172 mm) is longer than the hub dimension in order to fit correctly in the frame
• Not suitable for axles with a different thread pitch
• Assembly with 5 mm Allen key
