The new generation PZERO Race TLR is the highest performing tire in our portfolio and the first tire with tubeless technology to be produced entirely in Italy in the new factory in Bollate. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120 tpi carcass is characterized by the use of a compound layer mixed with aramid, which covers the inner layer of the tire and improves both the smoothness and the resistance of the rubber. The result: a less stiff but faster tire. The compound, on the other hand, retains the same advanced SmartEVO technology that it shares with the other high-performance tires in the PZERO range

SmartEVO - Intelligent tire compound

The new SmartEVO compound uses a blend of three different polymers, each of which contributes its own specific property while guaranteeing a perfect balance of the opposing properties: the goal for every rubber engineer. To complete this project, Pirelli drew on its extraordinary experience gained in over 100 years of motorsport and the vast know-how of cycling. Our in-depth knowledge and chemical expertise have enabled Pirelli's material engineers and chemists to apply this ternary polymer compound in such an advanced way as to ensure the "intelligent" behavior that characterizes the outstanding properties of the SmartEVO compound. Perfect grip whether wet or dry, coupled with low rolling resistance. A performance package suitable for all modern road disciplines and surfaces, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where climate and road surfaces demand tires that perform in all conditions.

Casing

The new SpeedCORE carcass consists of a thin, airtight layer with a rubber compound of aramid particles covering the inner part of the tire. The large and high & flexibility of the rubber compound makes the tire faster and smoother, while the aramid particles provide a better puncture layer. The carcass is completed by a nylon fabric and an aramid breaker, while the tread pattern uses Pirelli's most advanced compound, the SmartEVO, to achieve the highest performance.

• P ZERO™ Race TLR 24-622 and P ZERO™ Race TLR 26-622 are NOT compatible with hookless rims.
