The new E-Speedcity represents nothing less than Mavic's comeback in the urban or commuter bike segment. With 130 years of experience at the highest level of cycling, People at Mavic are convinced that they can create the right wheels for your daily commute.
These wheels are extra robust and durable. 32 solid, curved spokes each plus hubs with extra high flanges guarantee a maximum load capacity of up to 180 kg (25% more than our road bike wheels) - absolutely appropriate, given the increased weight load and stress in daily commuter use. The freewheel mechanism with automatic bearing preload has already proven itself in E-MTB wheels. It can also cope with the strongest e-motors (up to 120 Nm torque). Smooth, durable hub bearings also save muscle and motor power.
Mavic's immense know-how in wheel construction is the guarantee for maximum stability over thousands of kilometres - without time-consuming workshop visits. Because Mavic is also committed to protecting the environment and reducing CO2 emissions, Mavic uses 90% recycled aluminium for the rims. In addition, these wheels are hand-built in Europe, with components that are also 100% European.
This 700c/28" version and its rim with 25 mm jaw width accepts tyres up to 64 mm wide. Last but not least, Mavic also thinks about your safety. These wheels appear discreet so as not to arouse any unwanted covetousness. But their black decor is retroreflective and thus easily visible in the dark in road traffic. The wheels can also be protected through the Mavic Care programme - with a free warranty extension to 3 years, a crash replacement programme and guaranteed spare parts supply for at least 5 years.
