Haibike Lyke CF 10 - The new lightweight class of the e-bike pioneers

The German manufacturer Haibike is one of the most renowned brands among e-bikes. For many years, Haibike has regularly presented e-bikes with particularly innovative concepts. This is also the case now with the brand new Lyke model series, which blurs the boundaries between mountain bikes with and without e-drive in an impressive way. The heart of the Lyke is the trend-setting FAZUA motor. To fully exploit the potential of this extremely compact e-drive, a new carbon frame was specially developed. With a weight of less than 20 kilos, the Lyke models are real featherweights among e-fullies. A modern all-rounder that rides as agile as a conventional trail bike.

The concept is aimed at bikers who want to be sporty on the road and therefore use the e-drive more economically. This shifts the ratio between motor power and personal power towards the rider. The bottom line is that the motor and battery require less space, which pays off in the slim frame of the Lyke. And you don't have to do without a powerful chassis! On the contrary: the Lyke CF 10 comes with high-quality RockShox suspension elements that offer 140 millimetres of travel. With a mix of SRAM NX and SX gears and the tried-and-tested Shimano Deore disc brakes, the component selection is in the upper mid-range. Top performance paired with high service friendliness.

Quiet FAZUA motor for powerful performance in a small space

The concept of the innovative FAZUA motor is perfectly suited to a lightweight e-MTB like the Lyke CF 10. The compact unit sits almost invisibly above the bottom bracket in the frame. The FAZUA RIDE 60 delivers a maximum of 60 Nm of torque to the crank and is powered by a 430-Wh battery. By way of comparison: at 4.6 kilos, the motor and battery together weigh only slightly more than the motor alone on other types. The ensemble is completed by a ring-shaped, ergonomically designed control element on the brake lever mounting bracket, as well as a minimalist LED display in the top tube. The row of lights provides information about the battery's charge status and also includes the Bluetooth interface to the FAZUA smartphone app. With the help of the software, among other things, the three support modes can be fine-tuned and individualised. These include an automatic mode that smoothly adapts the strength of the assistance to the pedalling power. Never before has e-bike performance felt more natural.
