Haibike Lyke CF 10 – The new lightweight class from the e-bike pioneers

German manufacturer Haibike is one of the most renowned brands in the e-bike sector. For many years, Haibike has regularly presented e-bikes with particularly innovative concepts. This is once again the case with the brand new Lyke model series, which impressively blurs the boundaries between mountain bikes with and without electric drive. At the heart of the Lyke is the pioneering Fazua motor. A new carbon frame was developed specifically to fully exploit the potential of this extremely compact electric drive. Weighing less than 20 kilograms, the Lyke models are real featherweights among e-fullies. A modern all-rounder that rides as agilely as a conventional trail bike.

The concept is aimed at cyclists who want to be sporty and therefore use the electric drive more sparingly. The ratio between motor power and the cyclist's own power is thus shifted towards the cyclist. The bottom line is that the motor and battery require less space, which pays off in the Lyke's slim frame. But that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice a powerful chassis! On the contrary: the Lyke CF 10 comes with high-quality RockShox suspension elements that offer 140 millimetres of travel. The component selection, consisting of SRAM NX gears and the proven SRAM DB8 disc brakes, is in the upper mid-range. Top performance paired with high serviceability.

Quiet FAZUA motor for powerful performance in the smallest of spaces

The concept behind the innovative FAZUA motor is a perfect fit for a lightweight e-MTB like the Lyke CF 10. The compact unit sits almost invisibly above the bottom bracket in the frame. The FAZUA RIDE 60 delivers a maximum torque of 60 Nm to the crank and is powered by a 480 Wh battery. By way of comparison, the motor and battery together weigh 4.6 kilograms, which is only slightly more than other types of motor alone. The ensemble is completed by a ring-shaped, ergonomically designed control element on the brake lever mounting clamp and a minimalist LED display in the top tube. The row of lights provides information about the battery's charge status and also includes the Bluetooth interface for the Fazua smartphone app. With the help of the software, the three support modes can be fine-tuned and customised, among other things. This includes an automatic mode that smoothly adjusts the level of support to the pedalling power. Never before has e-bike performance felt so natural.
