The Giro Source MIPS offers trail riders a sophisticated combination of high protection, comfortable fit and clever ventilation, making it ideal for demanding off-road tours. The robust in-mould construction with a deep hard body protection area gives the helmet additional durability, while the integrated Mips system helps to reduce rotational forces in the event of a fall. The tried-and-tested Roc Loc 5 Mips Fit System, which can be operated with just one hand, ensures a secure fit.

Thanks to the 17 strategically placed ventilation openings in combination with deep internal channels, the head remains pleasantly cool even in warm temperatures. The screw-fastened, adjustable motorbike-style peak also allows easy adjustment to different light conditions - even when wearing gloves. The antibacterial IONIC+ padding with odour-inhibiting silver ions keeps the inside of the helmet fresh at all times.

MIPS - What is it?

MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is an advanced helmet technology that plays a decisive role in protecting against oblique injuries. An additional sliding shell in the helmet reduces the rotational force acting on the head and brain. This minimises the risk of head injuries, especially during sporting activities such as cycling, where oblique impacts are particularly common. MIPS helmets offer improved protection and increase the safety of the helmet wearer.
