The Trance series was developed for maximum fun on single trails. Now touring riders can rejoice, because in 2021 the Trance will become even more versatile. The X in the name stands above all for extra suspension travel: thanks to the new 140-millimetre suspension, the Trance X E+ 1 namely transforms into a perfect all-rounder. Giant now combines its sensitive Maestro rear triangle with a 150 mm Fox suspension fork, which offers decisive reserves downhill. Another new feature of the Trance X are the high-traction 29-inch wheels instead of the previous 27.5-inch wheels. With the help of the powerful SyncDrive motor, even tough climbs become a real pleasure ride. Another clever detail of the Trance X frame is in the rear triangle lever. With the help of a so-called flip chip, you can adjust the geometry of the chassis to your needs in no time at all. Specifically, you can adjust the seat and steering angles to be flatter or steeper. In typical Giant style, every detail of the equipment is coherent, from the standard telescopic seatpost to the trendy Maxxis tyres with a width of 2.6 inches.

Innovative parts from the Giant labs ensure top performance

The SyncDrive Pro motor was developed in cooperation with the specialists from Yamaha. It pushes with a torque of up to 80 Nm. The Giant developers contributed software that allows the five support levels to be individually adjusted, from gentle to aggressive. An app on the smartphone establishes the connection to the system. Another Giant innovation is the Maestro technology, which has already won numerous tests in trade magazines. The rear triangle rotates around four specially arranged pivot points, which ensures that the suspension is always active and minimises drive influences. The suspension works inconspicuously uphill, but can unfold its full potential downhill. Exactly what touring bikers appreciate in an e-fully. As the number one in the model range, the Trance X E+ 1 is equipped with the finest components. These include a Shimano XTR rear derailleur and a powerful XT brake system with large discs and 4-piston calipers. And the in-house Giant parts such as the telescopic seatpost and cockpit are also convincing in terms of quality.
