Through the wide 32mm tires, it is possible for you to make the one or another detour over rougher surfaces. Since up to 35mm wide tires with a light profile fit in the fork and frame, the Defy Advanced is converted in an instant to a sportier gravel bike for broader use. The fact that the rims are Tubeless Ready out of the box also benefits you, as it gives you a better feel for the road and more puncture resistance (the sealant still needs to be filled in). You master steep climbs with the reliable Shimano 105 2x11  transmission including a generous 11-34t cassette, while the Defy offers you a lot of stability downhill and is well equipped for long descents with the Shimano 105 disc brakes at the same time.  In addition, the quiet ride feeling arises because the Giant D-Fuse components with their manufacture from carbon vibration damping. This smooth-running, long-distance road bike was designed specifically to handle long-distance rides on all types of roads. The Defy Advanced is handcrafted from premium composite material and features tube shapes optimized to absorb road shock and vibration. With its comfortable riding characteristics, it offers a light, stiff and lively feel when climbing, accelerating and cornering. It's made with a special carbon layup for an efficient and powerful ride quality that lets you push new limits of endurance. The D-Fuse seatpost and matching handlebar system also help reduce road vibration for relaxed, fatigue-free rides. A tubeless wheel system increases speed and efficiency with less risk of punctures. For added control, it features integrated disc brakes with flat-mount disc brake mounts and 12mm thru axles.
