The new Edge 840 series comes with a wide range of performance-based training metrics, improved navigation and connected features. All this is combined in a lightweight and compact design with a 2.6-inch display. While the Edge 540 models have button controls, the Edge 840 models can be operated via touch and buttons. Mountain bikers can also look forward to pre-installed Trailforks MTB maps on the Edge 840 series.

Functions

• Battery lasts up to 60 hours in energy-saving mode and up to 32 hours in GPS mode. Thanks to solar technology, you'll get an extra 25 minutes of battery life per hour in power-saving mode when riding during the day.
• Get daily training recommendations and instructions directly on the display. Receive individual coaching based on upcoming events, adapted to your current training load and recovery.
• The multi-frequency reception of global satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO) allows you to record routes with high precision - even in narrow mountain valleys or urban canyons.
• You can now use the proven ClimbPro function even without a previously loaded route. Get information about upcoming climbs with details about the gradient, remaining distance and altitude of the climb. This way you can manage your power perfectly.
• Compare your cycling ability with the demands of a specific route so that you can estimate what you are up against.
• The Power Guide helps you to find the optimal power input for your route and its altitude profile. This way you can create the perfect performance strategy for the route.
