For the VAM² SL 9.8, Focus has developed a Flex Pivot rear triangle that combines ideal flex behavior with a lightweight carbon layup. Thanks to the efficient yet playful bike character, you can accelerate your speed uphill to the maximum. Nevertheless, this E-MTB gives you the confidence to ride really fast downhill too thanks to plenty of downhill reserves. With the new Flex Pivot design, Focus has been able to significantly reduce the frame material and the number of bearings and bolts. The result is the lightest E-MTB: the MAX carbon frame of the 9th series weighs just 2,172 g (size M, including linkage and bolts). It also gives the rear triangle its seamless look. The clean design of the VAM² SL 9.8 continues on the down tube: the fully integrated battery ensures a sleek look and further weight reduction.

Targeted and fun training

Thanks to the e-drive, you can cover even more distance and ride more trails in the same amount of time. With the 125 mm suspension and direct handling of the VAM² SL 9.8, you can experience your home trails in a different way than usual. This E-MTB gives you a new riding experience that you might otherwise be more familiar with from pump tracks. The result: better riding skills and endless fun. You can also get even more out of the FAZUA system by connecting it to your bike computer. This allows you to keep an eye on your cadence and power values at all times for targeted training. In combination with the efficient motor support, it is easier than ever to train exactly at your performance threshold and keep your heart rate at the perfect level for aerobic training sessions. You will no longer wish for rest days and will need them even less. Suddenly you'll be on the saddle even on days when you would normally take a break.

Efficient FAZUA drive system

The lightweight and efficient FAZUA Ride 60 gives you the feeling that your legs are having their best day. With 60 Nm of torque and a maximum power of 450 W, it gives you a boost and still offers a natural riding experience with minimal noise. The drive system has three riding modes and an additional boost function that allows you to ride with increased motor power for short periods. You can use the FAZUA app to customize the motor support to your riding preferences and set parameters such as the maximum power (Max Power), the support ratio (Support Relation) and the responsiveness and acceleration (Ramp-up). The integrated battery can be charged via the charging socket on the seat tube. You'll be surprised how far you can get with 430 Wh. Thanks to the efficiency and low weight of the VAM² SL 9.8, you can even pedal home with an empty battery if necessary.
