Focus Sam² 6.9 - Brand new 170mm Enduro Fully with E-Power

The core competence of the new Enduro Fully from Focus can already be characterised at first glance: Its long-stroke chassis boasts 170 millimetres of suspension travel! This literally screams for blocky downhill trails and bumpy root carpets. And because the Focus Sam² 6.9 is adequately motorised with a Bosch Performance CX drive, it will get you up the mountain without a hitch. It's hard to believe that the slim down tube of the aluminium frame conceals a 625 watt-hour battery. Thanks to its endurance, the trail pleasure can be multiplied many times over. At around 25 kilos, the Sam² 6.9 is not even particularly heavy for an e-bike in this class. The heart of the frame is the outstanding Focus F.O.L.D. kinematics (Focus Optimised Linkage Design). The rear suspension compression process takes place in two phases: In phase one, the rear wheel reacts sensitively to the smallest impacts. On larger obstacles, phase two comes into effect when the suspension compresses deeper: the rear end reacts more tightly, preventing the suspension from bottoming out. The suspension from specialist Fox leaves nothing to be desired in terms of tuning. Thanks to a steel spring, the damper reacts in a particularly linear manner.

Bosch Performance CX - The best motor from the market leader

The fourth generation Performance CX motor is nothing less than a compact power pack. The slim silhouette of the Focus Sam² 6.9 impressively demonstrates the current state of e-bike drive technology. In the spirit of a tidy cockpit, Focus has deliberately chosen the minimalist Purion display for the motor control. Added to this is the in-house C.I.S. stem, through which the cables are cleverly routed into the frame. No compromises when it comes to components: the gears and brakes come from the indestructible Shimano XT group. There are 12 gears and the braking power of four hydraulic pistons each at the front and rear. Other useful details include a steering stop that protects the down tube from damage and a chain guide. Thanks to the standard Fox Transfer telescopic seat post, you can immediately plunge into trail fun.
