Focus Sam² 6.8 - The Focus E-Enduro

No descent is too steep and daring for you? Are you always looking for technical challenges on the trails? Then a model from the Sam² series is the enduro of your choice. The key data leave no room for doubt: 170 mm suspension, rear shock with linear steel spring, a powerful braking system and fat tyres for fun downhill. But best of all, all Sam² models are equipped with the best e-motors from market leader Bosch. The Bosch Performance CX can develop up to 85 Nm of torque. Plus a battery with 750 watt-hour capacity that tirelessly supports you in reaching the best trails on the mountain. All drive components up to the Kiox 300 display are networked via the smart system from Bosch and can be controlled with your smartphone if desired.

For the 2023 season, Focus has revised the frame and shortened the seat tube so that you have more freedom when choosing the bike size. The insertion depth of the seat post has even been increased. So choose a longer frame for more smoothness or a shorter one for more agility. The 6.8 version of the Sam² comes with unbeatable Shimano Deore XT 1x12 gears. Focus makes no compromises when it comes to the brakes: With 220 mm discs and 4-piston calipers at the front and rear, a Magura MT5 ensures brutal deceleration. You can also rely 100 percent on the grip of the 2.6-inch wide Maxxis DHR II tyres. And there's no question about it: a telescopic seatpost is standard equipment on an Enduro.

Aluminium frame with revised Focus F.O.L.D kinematics

With the Sam² series, Focus relies on durable and indestructible aluminium. Thanks to the hydroforming process, organically shaped tube cross-sections can be realised, ensuring an optimal ratio of weight and stability. A protector is attached to the down tube in front of the motor block to protect it from stone chipping. The F.O.L.D. kinematics developed by Focus ensure that the rear suspension works sensitively over the most used range and only hardens when the suspension is compressed strongly. This protects the frame from damage. The effect: the F.O.L.D. suspension glides sensitively over root trails and gravel tracks, but still offers sufficient reserves at large obstacles.

In the course of the updates, the number of moving parts in the F.O.L.D. system was reduced, thus saving weight. The final class of the Sam² 6.8 chassis comes from the Fox 38 Rhythm Float suspension fork and the RockShox Super DeLuxe Coil Select shock.
