The Focus Paralane 8.8 looks like a racy road racer - and with its carbon frame it knows how to please right away. But this cool bike can do much more! It is designed as a gravel bike, a mixture of road bike and cyclocrosser. This is primarily due to the large tyre clearance of up to 35 millimetres and the mudguards supplied. These are not windy models to plug in, but high-quality Curana C-Lite plates with slim struts. Even a light luggage rack can be attached to the rear end. These fine details also qualify the Paralane 8.7 as a fast touring bike, for example for a sporty weekend trip in the Alps. The comfortable riding position is ideal for long days in the saddle. And a sprocket cassette with up to 34 teeth allows you to climb the climbs in a relaxed manner. An all-rounder par excellence.

Shimano 105 components - Indestructible and with top function

The Shimano 105 group is a perfect choice for the Focus Paralane 8.8: super robust components that won't let bad weather and dirt get in the way. In terms of function we can, with the best will in the world, see no difference to the higher placed Ultegra group. And since the disc brake took over, another problem has been solved anyway: Finally optimal braking performance in all conditions! The high-quality carbon frame of the Paralane 8.8 is equipped with the patented Focus R.A.T. thru axle system. This means that the wheels are positioned 100 percent precisely in the dropouts every time they are fitted. And the brake discs are guaranteed to run without grinding between the calipers. Thru axles also ensure outstanding lateral rigidity.
