Are you looking for the ultimate all-rounder? A sporty and comfortable road racing bike that masters all disciplines, from fast training laps to long-distance rides? And even has some gravel genes in its blood? Then you've found your dream bike with the Focus Paralane. The heart of the Paralane is a super-light carbon frame with sophisticated aerodynamics, which is equipped with the appropriate components depending on the price range. The traditional German manufacturer Focus has managed to realise the versatility of the Paralane as discreetly as road cyclists love it. The bike comes with 32 millimetre wide tyres as standard, which offer a perfect combination of comfort and smooth running. However, if you want to include the odd gravel path in your tours, you can fit tyres up to 35 millimetres wide. Focus has developed an elegant mudguard set for all-weather suitability, which is available as an option. In addition, the frame not only has useful mounting points for accessories, but a practical bag on the top tube is also included ex works.
Version 8.8 of the Paralane is equipped with the modern Sram Rival eTap AXS groupset, which moves the rear derailleur and front derailleur electrically. In addition, the shifting impulses are transmitted wirelessly from the cockpit. Thanks to this technology, the shifting is 100 per cent precise, fast and reliable in all conditions! The hydraulic Rival disc brakes are perfectly matched to the system. Further extras include a carbon seatpost and a lightweight DT Swiss wheelset.
The fact that Focus comes from a racing background is evident in every fibre of the Paralane frame. Thanks to the clever routing of the carbon fibre mats on the seat tube, head tube, seat stays and bottom bracket, the frame is laterally stiff but dampens vibrations in the vertical direction. And despite its aerodynamic, flat tubes, it weighs just 1130 grams in size M! Thanks to the thru-axle system, the wheels sit 100 per cent precisely in the dropouts after each installation and removal. And the brake discs are guaranteed to run without rubbing between the callipers. The thru-axles also ensure outstanding power transmission when pedalling. Another highlight is the C.I.S stem system developed by Focus. Not only do the cables run from the stem inside the frame, but you can also change the stem without having to open the brake lines.
