Das Herz des Paralane ist ein superleichter Carbon Rahmen mit ausgefeilter Aerodynamik, der je nach Preisklasse mit entsprechenden Komponenten bestückt ist. Der deutsche Traditionshersteller Focus hat es geschafft, die Vielseitigkeit des Paralane so dezent umzusetzen, wie es Rennradler lieben. Das Bike kommt serienmäßig mit 32 Millimeter breiten Reifen, die eine perfekte Kombination aus Komfort und Leichtlauf bieten. Wenn du aber gerne den einen oder anderen Kiesweg in deine Touren einbinden willst, kannst du bis zu 35 Millimeter breite Pneus aufziehen. Für Allwettertauglichkeit hat Focus eigens ein elegantes Schutzblech-Set entwickelt, das optional erhältlich ist. Darüber hinaus besitzt der Rahmen nicht nur sinnvolle Montagepunkte für Zubehör, sondern eine praktische Tasche auf dem Oberrohr ist ab Werk gleich dabei.

Version 8.7 of the Paralane comes with the durable Shimano 105 groupset, which has recently been visually modernised and technically upgraded to 2 x 12 gears. The Shimano components are not fazed by bad weather or dirt. In terms of function, there is hardly any difference to the higher-ranked Shimano groupsets. Even combining it with a slightly heavier Shimano RS520 crank does not detract from this. The 105 hydraulic disc brakes are among the most reliable and maintenance-friendly brakes on the market. Aerodynamic wheels with sturdy thru-axles round off the equipment perfectly.

Focus bikes - synonymous with well thought-out and durable bikes

You can literally see in every fibre of the Paralane frame that Focus comes from a racing background. Thanks to the clever routing of the carbon fibre mats on the seat tube, head tube, seat stays and bottom bracket, the frame is laterally stiff but dampens vibrations in the vertical direction. And despite its aerodynamic, flat tubes, it weighs just 1130 grams in size M! Thanks to the thru-axle system, the wheels sit 100 per cent precisely in the dropouts after each installation and removal. And the brake discs are guaranteed to run without rubbing between the callipers. The thru-axles also ensure outstanding power transmission when pedalling. Another highlight is the C.I.S stem system developed by Focus. Not only do the cables run from the stem inside the frame, but you can also change the stem without having to open the brake lines.
