With the latest generation of Shimano motors, a powerful unit pulsates in the bottom bracket of the Focus Jam² 7.9. At 85 Nm, the new Shimano EP8 delivers just as much power as the competition. The down tube conceals an extremely powerful battery with a capacity of 720 watt hours. This power duo allows you to ride even more trails in one day. A modern and compact Shimano EM800 display sits on the handlebars as the control centre. The high-quality drivetrain consists of a Shimano crank and a Shimano XT 11-speed rear derailleur, which is equipped with an automatic shifting function. The hydraulic Shimano XT disc brakes with 4-piston callipers have been specially developed for All Mountain and Enduro use. Typically Shimano, they work with service-friendly mineral oil. A standard Post Moderne telescopic seatpost completes the setup of the Focus Jam² 7.9.

Frame details

Limits are there to be exceeded! The Focus Jam² 7.9 helps you to push your riding limits. It is based on 150 millimetre suspension from the specialist FOX. The outstanding Focus F.O.L.D kinematics ensure manoeuvrable geometry and agile handling at all times. For the new generation of Focus Jams, the shock has been moved to the top tube to create more space in the frame. The special response behaviour of the rear suspension has also been improved as a result: Thanks to the Focus Flip Chip, you are not restricted to a linear response behaviour. If you prefer a more progressive damper characteristic, the rear suspension can be converted in no time at all. The result is a longer wheelbase and slacker steering angle, which means a smoother ride but slightly less manoeuvrability. The Shimano 720Wh battery is perfectly integrated in the down tube. The battery can be removed at any time for charging, for which it must be loosened using a screw. If you don't want to do this, you can also plug the charger directly into the bottom end of the bike's battery cover.
